What makes a password strong
Length matters most. Each extra character multiplies the number of possible passwords, so a 16-character password is vastly harder to guess than an 8-character one. Mixing lowercase, uppercase, numbers and symbols adds more possibilities per character.
Avoiding look-alike characters
Letters like I and l, and O and 0, are easy to confuse when a password has to be typed by hand. Turn on “Avoid look-alikes” to leave them out.
